Nikon F70
Despite its weight, I really love my Nikon. Fitted with an AF 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5D lens, it weighs about 1.4 kg! But the photos I get are sharper and the images more distinct than when I used a Canon.
So far the lens have not disappointed me. I found the aperture size and telephoto length rather lacking for my use, which is mainly for tall subjects. My next target is a telephoto at 200-300 mm that will be ideal for shooting inaccessible subjects (like crocodiles, birds and even concerts - dare I hope?).
Subjects
Seems like the only decent shots I get are of things that don't move very much, like buildings, statues and stationary motorcycles. I realise portraits are really difficult to do. You need a co-operative subject with light in the eyes and an expression that speaks a million words.
Here are some samples of pictures I took during my Monochrome Course in SAFRA Bukit Merah.
